
Sunday night’s Big Brother was the lowest rated in the show’s history as the UK bid farewell to the Olympic games.
Highlights of day 68 in the house were seen by just 482k viewers (1.4%) at 9PM. An extra 31k tuned in on timeshift bringing the total overnight audience to 513,000.
The previous all-time low was set just two weeks previously when 614k witnessed Caroline’s eviction instead of the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The London 2012 Closing Ceremony averaged 23.2m (81.7%) between 9PM and 12:20AM, but peaked with a huge 26.3m at 9:35PM.
Elsewhere in the 9PM hour (excluding +1), A Touch Of Frost appealed to 673k (2.1%) on ITV1 and Thelma’s Gypsy Girls averaged 722k (2.2%) on Channel 4.
