Meatloaf in talks for Celebrity Big Brother?

American rockstar Meatloaf has been linked to a place in next year’s Celebrity Big Brother house.

American rockstar Meatloaf has been linked to a place in next year’s Celebrity Big Brother house.

Michael Lee Aday, better known as Bat Out Of Hell singer Meatloaf, is being lined up as a potential housemate by show bosses according to the Daily Star.

An insider claimed: “He’s a huge name around the world so we’re desperate to get him in the house. We know fans would love to see him and he would be TV gold.”

The 65-year-old is no stranger to reality TV having previously taken part in a number of shows, as well as judging ITV1′s Popstar To Operastar. He has however criticised similar programmes such as I’m A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice.

You can watch clips of Meatloaf’s appearance on Gordon Ramsey’s The F Word and his explosive outburst on The Celebrity Apprentice USA below.

Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 in January 2013 for its fourth series in just 18 months. Also rumoured to be featuring on the show is Kate Middleton’s cousin Katrina Darling.

Would you like to see Meatloaf enter the house?

    Listen
” You little slice of heaven you ”
    JAHMAZING

I got all my thoughts on who would be leaving on
SCD ,,,XFactor and AUS bb Wrong ,,oh dear
Hopefully I will do better on my favourites to win
    Louis ,,,Jahmene ,,,Estelle ,,,,

      and mustn’t forget Rylan :giggle:
Louis is my fav in SCD too, but i also like Richard think he is so funny,,,he may not be there much longer though…

Ella was one of my favourites loved her audition .
she is a lovely young girl with a great voice
And I am sure she will do well
but I think like you Biddy she’s been given the wrong songs to sing ,she’s only 16 after all
        Sorry Orchid
Ella is still favourite to win X factor
with Jahmene and James in second and third place

:hi: Microsis, Although Strictly is my passion I have been dipping into X Factor a little and was very sad to see Kye go. I thought he was way the best singer / musician of those remaining. Shame Rylan is now knocking out serious contenders. However, I am sure Kye will have success with Gary on his side; luckily he got the best mentor for composing and producing songs afterwards.

So…..my favourites are now either Jaymene or Union J, both of whom I enjoy listening to and both have lovely harmonies. Whilst Ella can clearly sing and will probably win, her voice is not my cup of tea I’m afraid, too raspy, if that’s a word…..sorry! She seems like a nice person though.

Not a good series though in my opinion, too much about the judge’s egos. Hope Tulisa doesn’t stay on next year.

Must say, Fudge, I agree with your post. I do like Ella’s voice but not the material she is being given. Not the right songs.
Loving Jahmene, and this week he was “top of the pops” in my book. I also agree about Rylan – its a farce that he is staying and the decent singers being voted out. As for Tulisa – she really needs to go. One of the worst judges for some time.

In the dance off and deserved to stay

Hi poor James has hurt his ankle
Denise ( I don’t like her ) seemed more interested
in making jokes than James ankle
I like to see the girls wearing red and
        black costumes for the Paso
the passion of the dance can get (for me ) a bit lost

Its wonderful to have somewhere to go, to catch up on peoples thoughts and laughs [ like Biddy and Microsis tearing up the country side either on scooters or donkeys], hearing about Star’s Aussie trip, dogs hating fireworks, and of course Strictly, X Factor and Australian BB. The wonderful posters on here would give anyone a lift in life….so dont leave it so long next time!!!

Jahmane did so well this weekend – he could go all the way! Sad to see Kye go and Rylan stay…again! What has that man got that make people vote for him every week?
Meant to ask – what breed is your little dog in the photo? Looks so cute! Maybe time for me to change my photo again!

I’m thinking you must have all watched the end now – I just made myself finish the finale, which I had to stop half way through last Wednesday in case I had a heart attack!
Nasty, arrogant, bitchy, twofaced git! The aussies must be nuts to choose him over Estelle and Layla?
However, there are so many things that UK BB could learn from the AUSBB – especially crowd control. NO boos and horrible chants during eviction and the subsequent interviews. Also loved the “nom nom’s” done aussie style. Even the friends and family nominations were good, as one point could not make too much of a difference.
I have to agree with the comments about X Factor Tulisa and her song choice for Ella. In fact, Tulisa’s song choice for all her acts has been rubbish. I rate her probably the worst x-factor judge we have had to put up with. Ella has a lovely voice but it si just not being shown because of the song choice.
Hope Jahmane stays in top form tonight …and Rylan finaly gets to go home!

According to Ms Dorris, she has worked all through recess and only had 4 days of this summer. She hopes to raise awareness to reducing the time limit on abortions from 24 to 20 weeks, a subject which will cause a difference of opinion and quite heated arguments, (for or against abortion.)
I don’t think I’m a Celeb is the place for it. :shake:

:hi: Sally chops .. Lucky Mrs Dorries! Some of us haven’t had any days off this summer :giggle: Yes, the jungle definitely isn’t the best place for that type of debate. In any case, does she really think the editing team are going to show all her discussions? She is just doing it to raise her own profile in my opinion…… what do you others think?

Either very silly or very brave, Fudge. I have since heard [BBC] that she has now been suspended, and the chairman of her local conservative branch will be interviewing her later!! She has been on other ‘reality’ stuff……maybe its time to decide whether she want’s to be a politician or a ‘Celebrity’?
I do agree with what she stands for – any reduction in the abortion time span would be a plus in my opinion…..just not the way she is going about it.

:hi: Sammyvan, how are you? Often think of you.
Yes, sammyvan, I do agree with you, she needs to choose, but it seems that that decision has been taken away from her by the local conservative branch who, as you say, have suspended her. Can’t say I blame then. I feel she is showing a lack of respect to her constituents by leaving the Commons for what could be a month.
If she does have important matters to discuss then she needs to choose the correct forum to do so. As for reducing the abortion limit, I have mixed feelings. Having worked at IPPF, my head tells me one thing, having had 3 children, my heart tells me another. Prevention of unwanted pregnancies has to be the path to follow…

Hi Sammyvan, yes I agree about the reduced time for abortions, although I’d prefer there not to be the need for them in the first place (but that’s a whole other debate) As far as Nadine goes… what a bossy boots she is!! I still wonder why so many of the celebrities on that show are not so young and in poor health. When I was young I visited Australia quite often (I worked on a cruise ship) and even being young and healthy the heat still left me feeling like a wet noodle, so goodness knows how Doctor Who and Eric Bristoe will manage.

I remember when Katie Price was in the jungle and every single day,, until she left, she was picked on. I tend to get bored when it becomes obvious that a contestant has become a ‘hate’ figure. Its so much more fun when all the contestants get an equal share of the tasks and trials.
As for the health [ or not!] of some of them, do any of you feel the teams are slightly un-balanced? Dr Who and Eric Bristow together in the canoo..? Recipe for disaster – especially with Nadine as director/ guide. Poor ‘Rosie’ did not have a very good start did she?!

I have just watched another episode of AU BB I must be getting soft :crying: when they read their letters from home Estelle in particular was very emotional.
My 2 favourites are still there. I don’t know why that man is still there.

I agree Star :star: Not a bad line up for the jungle except for Nadine the M.P. Hopefully she will be voted out early on. Linda Robson will probably do very well. Loving the fact that Brian Conley is going in, he will be a bundle of fun. Wonder how long it will be before he shouts….. It’s a Puppet! I have a feeling Helen Flanagan will be this years nervous screamer.
The last episode of The Paradise is on the same time as the jungle on Tuesday. I will have to watch the jungle later on. I’m so pleased that due to it’s popularity The Paradise will be making a second series. The present series is out on Dvd in December. Hopefully Santa will put a copy of it in my Xmas stocking along with a Dvd of The Olympic games.
I read yesterday that CBB Gareth Thomas will be taking part in Dancing on Ice. A big strapping fella like him, should be very good in the show.

Biddy, I kinda like Lisa as well. Feel I have to support those of us slightly larger ladies!! She is also a very good dancer, something the judges did not expect. Dont think she will manage to beat Louis though…

Hi Sammyvan,,,Yes i agree , Lisa has been brilliant , surprised everyone i think…she has energy in abundance and her partenr loves her,,,you can see by the smile on his face at the end of their routine…Louis didn’t have such good scores last week, i sometimes think the judges forget that these people are not professional dancers, and expect too much from them…

Hi Louiza,,,,The line up does look good for the Jungle, a programme i love but will miss most of it as i’m on holiday….
Have not watched The Paradise, so have no idea what it is about…There is so much reality TV on at the moment that i seem to be consistently watching that…also been watching Aus BB on line….
Then after Christmas it all continues with CBB and Dancing on Ice, which i prefer to Strictly come Dancing..
Don’t know how we are going to keep up with the paper round !!! :giggle:

Louiza I have enjoyed watching The Paradise, its good to know there will be another series.
I also enjoyed Downton Abby and Homeland.
I have had to do a lot of recording lately, that’s the only problem with all these channels spoiled for choice.
It will be interesting to see how Gareth Thomas fairs in Dancing on ice, he was quite popular when he was in CBB.
There is a new series starting on BBC1 on the 19th November, The Secrets of Crinkley Hall, looks interesting.
You will have to drop the hint to family about your Christmas list

:hi: Sally, The Secret of Crickley Hall is a novel by James Herbert – quite scarey. It is set in a dual time frame – now and the 2nd World War, in Devon I think. Couple’s young son has gone missing and they hear things in this old house where refugees were sent in the war. The couple try to find out the connection, why they can hear their son, etc. Might be quite good, although quite creepy too!!!! Should have shown it over Halloween!!

Biddy – who is going to look after Microsis while you are away? Have a wonderful holiday. Will miss you.
Sally – the list looks good for the jungle, but are there any gentlemen worth watching? Always plenty of girls/ladies in bikinis for the gents!! Shame they could not have got Lorenzo in the jungle as well – imagine him in the shower!!
Microsis, I am still trying to get over the shock of BB AUS – cant mention names as dont know if all have caught up. Have not even finished watching the show after hearing the result. Did you finish – and should I? Looks like we all feel the same – wonder what the feeling is in AUS?

Microsis, too much imagining re Lorenzo under the waterfall amidst the aussie jungle and all us ladies will have to go cool down! As for changing the picture – easy…. just go to your profile page, click on delete picture, then browse thru your photos, select the one you want, and import it. Finish by ‘updating’ your profile. Have a go – its fun seeing what looks best. I just thought I would hurry nature along a bit – hence the daffs!
Biddy – will do my best to ‘stand in’ for you and take care of Microsis. Problem is I dont drive either so as from Monday I will have her up on the horse and cart! I’ll have her trained by the time you get back. When you get back I dare you to use one of the ‘itsy bitsy bikini’ photos here on your profile!!!! Have fun.

The Paradise is a BB1 series shown on Tuesdays. It is set in the 1870′s in an upmarket department store. John Moray is the owner…. he reminds me of Aaron A Morgan. In the story his wife died 3 years ago. A shop assistant called Denise starts working at the store and Moray falls in love with her. Lots of loving gazes at each other, Ha ha!. However…. Moray somehow ends up engaged to a wealthy well to do lady. Microsis, it is the last episode next week. The cast are really good. Sarah Lancashire portrays a wonderful Miss Audrey.
What was the outcome in Au BB? You all sound disappointed…???? Sally I will have to take a look at Secrets of Crinkley Hall. The title sounds like something Noel Edmonds might pop up in ( crinkley bottom).
I watched a programme about Gareth Thomas a few nights ago. I didn’t realise he had suffered a stroke a few years ago. As it happened to my brother in 2011, I understand how difficult it must have been for him. So pleased both Gareth and my brother made a full recovery.
Yes Sally… I dropped massive hints and my lovely daughter may have just pre-ordered one or two pressies for me.

and you left me hanging :giggle: I like a happy ending hope Moray marries Miss Audrey ( Sarah Lancaster I presume ) and they all live happy ever after :giggle:
Loved Downton Abbey although I thought the ending
      was weak ,,,
Gareth Thomas was a good powerful rugby player according to hubby ,his sudden retirement from rugby
was a shock I think to many of his fans ,,hubby didn’t know that Gareth had suffered from a stroke .
I am so glad to hear your brother has made a full recovery

Sounds good Louiza. Do you think this would be one they would repeat – or bring out on a box set? So much to watch sometimes that we miss good series. My sky memory is just about full already – there are not enough hours in the day! I make it a rule that day time is all about being outside, unless its freezing and wet, so roll on some nasty weather!!
We should have you set up a “what to watch” weekly post here……..that way we are all on the same ‘page’, so to speak.

Yes, The paradise is out on dvd this december and a second series has been commissioned….. much to my delight. Probably won’t be long until we get the horrible weather. Frosty mornings and snow. I have spent a fair bit of time outside clearing up fallen leaves. When the sun is shining, it’s lovely to wrap up warm and spend time outdoors. Shame I have to be inside decorating at the moment.

Hi everyone. Hope you have missed me. I have missed you all. However, I was so engrossed with aus BB that I did not want to know the result so did not want to come on to TTBB site to spoil the surprise. I have just finished watching it and have enjoyed it so so much. I wanted Layla to win and and so disappointed at the result. Ben was a liar who said that he did not nominate Estelle but in fact nominated TWICE. Although he was good viewing, I did not think that he was a was a worthy winner. However, I enjoyed Aus BB so much which was so much better than Uk BB. I cried so much when Deliah went.

I am now so looking forward to the Jungle. I am also enjoying Strictly so much.

I am still enjoying X Factor and still want ELLA to win. I know there are a lot of people voting for Rylan to win but they must be deluded. :music: :music: :music:

:hi: Just read all the comments on this site particularly about X Factor. Ella is a really talented young girl. She plays various instruments; writes her own songs and is a really nice girl. I know her personally and have done since she was 7 years old. she was bullied as a younger child and does not use this in any of her interviews to get the sympathetic vote. She is genuinely a really really nice talented girl. She should win but if she doesn’t, she will still be a star. :star:

Hi Orchid,,,Good to see you are back,,,thought you’d abandoned us….lol
Yes i loved Aus BB ,,,but not the winner ,,,wanted Layla to win also…haven’t a clue what they all saw in Ben…did not like him at all, so two faced….I hope UKBB take a look and take some ideas from it though…
Jahmane is my favourite on XFactor at the moment…Loved Ella’s audition, but since then i haven’t liked the songs they are givingm her, think maybe they should let her sing one of her own…then i think she could be in the running to win it…..

I agree with Biddy’s view on Ella. Clearly a very talented girl…. but I don’t think Tulisa is mentoring her very well. The song choices are letting her down. I love Jahmene, he gives me goosebumps when he sings. Sooo, Gary Barlow may not return as a judge…???

Hey Louiza ,,,did you know that Lorenzo has written
a book called ” The Princess Of Nowhere
It’s a romantic historical novel ,based on one of Lorenzo Borghese relatives ,,princess Pauline who was Napolian favourite sister

I think it is in paper back so would fit nicely in our Christmas stocking.

I like Jahmene as well Louiza ,not just because
he is a Wiltshire lad ,,but because he has a fantastic

He’s 20 yrs old with so much soul in his voice
you could not help but be stirred by his
          rendition of “Angels”
and he is so humbled by it all ,
I thought District 3,had better harmonies and vocals this week a complete transformation from last week
I think Christopher is in danger this week

Biddy – wash your mouth out!!!
I wonder how many more decent singers are going to be voted out while Rylan stays….he would be more suited to BGT as he can entertain. Just when he starts singing all the cats in the neighbourhood tend to join in and its heel on the ears.
Jahmane was in good voice again, but once more Tulisa did not choose a song to suit Ella [IMO] She has a lovely voice but it is not being heard with the ‘ghetto’ stuff Tulisa is asking her to sing. Shame she ended with the wrong mentor, Orchid.

The opening ceremony at the British Legions Fields
of remembrance here in Wiltshire on friday was followed
by a performance from the one and only Anton Du Beke

poppies laid out in a giant 11-11-11 formation

Have to tell us when it is, Microsis. Then we can remind you! :wondering:

Hope you have your winter woolies ready, padded jods, so your rear end does not get too painful, and as soon as Biddy takes off for warmer climates, we will be off to see the countryside!

How would we be able to watch BB USA – would be grand if Couch Potato did that one as well! I am not keen doing it thru ‘You Tube’ – how do you make sure the episodes are in order?

The Remembrance services are always so special. I so feel for those little ones who will never get to see family members again. That is the tragedy really. Every time we hear of another one on the news….when will it end?

Hi everyone. Enjoyed X factor again but although I think Jahmeme is good, I wish he would not keep pulling the sympathy vote. Now he has been telling the papers that his brother saved him from a suicide attempt by breaking into the bathroom after Jahmeme had taken a lot of pills. It is very sad but I wish he would not keep trying to get sympathy. He is good enough (not as good as Ella though) to get through to the the last 3 without that.

I am still routing for Ella. She is fantastic and consistent.

District 3 should not have gone home last night. I don’t know why people keep voting for Rylan. All the Judges keep saying about selling records. Rylan cannot sing so why would he get a recording contract??? If he wins X-factor, I will never watch it again. How he can say that he has more talent than Gary Barlow!! What a loser. I cannot stand Nicole either when she keeps standing up and throwing her arms up in the air when Rylan comes on. Apart from Gary, all the Judges are a waste of time ( In my opinion).

Absolutely love everything about Strictly – the costumes; the set; and the dancers (both celebs and professionals).

Loving Celeb jungle. Could be a very good series this year.

Oh, BIDDY, now you have mentioned BB USA, i will have to look at it and hope that I don’t get too hooked like Aus BB.

:hi: Yes, Orchid, as I said also….Rylan should have been on BGT, not x-factor. Now -when he comes on stage, I just love my FF button!
Ella has a truly lovely voice, so powerful, but she is not being given the songs that suit her range. I have read that Simon is interested in her anyway, so probably has a contract lined up for her even if she does not win. I think unless we get a decent lot of new judges next year, then X Factor is dead. I cant see them renewing the contract while the viewing figures are dropping so badly. This is the first year that I have watched more of SCD than XF. I record both, but tend to scoot thru XF much quicker!
I am also tempted to have a peek at BB USA – but that means hours of catching up again – and we wont see you for weeks!! Maybe next year we can all watch it – if we find a site that could relay it?
            Take care and stay warm!

Hi Orchid,,,Haven’t really watched BBUSA,,,Alec watched a lot of it earlier in the year, and he really enjoyed it. They are allowed to talk about nominations from the word go…I didn’t like this when they allowed them to talk about them on BBUK, so not sure if i would like it….
I agree Ella has a really good voice, but i do think Tulisa is not giving her the best songs to sing..the first song she sang at her audition that she wrote herself ,has been by far the best.. I love Jahmane and Union J too.. But the more the judges put Rylan down the more votes he seems to get, at the expense of good singers. Also i think it should always go to the public vote, not the judges, to me the judges spoil the show…

Jahmene was fabulous once again. I would buy his album in a heartbeat. Wonder who will be voted off Xfactor and Strictly? I think Chris or Rylan ( real name Ross Richard Clarke) may get the boot. Over on Strictly… possibly Fern, Nicky or Richard. Must admit I really enjoyed Richard’s dance. Poor Robin went flying as he approached the stairs.
Microsis…. I didn’t know Lorenzo had written a book. I will have to keep an eye out for that! I read about Jahmene’s background in the newspaper today. What an horrendous time he had growing up. Wishing him a wonderful future.

Microsis, just tried two episodes of BB USA – 14. Not my cup of tea! Talk about strategy – and bitching non-stop. I much prefer Aus and UK versions. I may try watching some of the old Aussie ones, like you. Its so difficult to try and get them in sequence though – I like to watch in order and not hop all over the place. Probably stick to “I’m a Celeb” , SCD and X Factor…..should be enough for anyone. Going to watch “Paradise”, that I recorded after reading Louiza’s post.

Hi BIDDY. I agree with you 100%. The Judges do spoil the show. In actual fact I cannot understand how the viewers can vote at the start of the show when they have not even listened to their performances. To me this smacks of it being a popularity contest.

I also agree with you that the more the Judges criticise Rylan, the more support he gets.

Ella has a lot more songs that she has written but I don’t think that they are given any opportunity to sing their own stuff on the live shows. I think that James writes his own songs. And Kye also does. Fancy Kye being sent home and Rylan staying!!! I also like Union J and I think District 3 this week did a blooming good job. I like the way Louis took the credit for District 3 stripping back to give the great performance they gave when it was actually Gary last week who said that they should do!

I do feel so sorry for Chris Maloney. He is getting a lot of stick from the press and some of the other contestants but I have never heard Ella and Jahmene say anything horrible about him.

Take care Biddy and I hope you are well.

Hi Orchid…I’m fine thanks…looking forward to my holiday on Friday…
I have no doubts that Ella will do very well after the show, no matter what happens….It is not always, in fact very rarely that the winner comes out best….I think Ella has a very strong future, I just don’t think Tulisa is relating to what she is, or the songs she should be singing…
I feel for Chris too, he has had some bad press, some of which came from Kye, which i thought was uncalled for,,he wasn’t even in the bottom two with Kye,,
Kye made himself look like a very bad loser,,not good…
I love the groups too, shame one of them had to go , but at the end of the day there will only be one winner ..they should all enjoy the publicity they are getting at the moment , and things may happen for them…
      Take care Orchid…

:hi: Orchid, how are you? I agree with everything in your post. The judges have been dreadful this year, especially Tulisa, who I cannot stand. No wonder Gary is leaving…. I was upset when Kye was voted off recently by Tulisa (not that she thought that he thought he would be a threat to Ella winning or anything….hmmmm :wondering: ) but that just showed her up in my opinion. I resent her also for giving teenage girls the idea that it is fine to go out and get absolutely plastered. Luckily my girls think she is foolish anyway. And, please, STOP going on about your urban roots….. :lipssealed:

Orchid, you are right – the prize is a record contract and while Rylan may be ‘funny’ who would want to listen to 12 songs of him singing when driving in the car or whatever?!!? Ridiculous. Anyway, as I said before, Kye will get some work with Gary, the true musician on the panel, and Rylan will……um….. become a children’s TV presenter?

I think Union J are great and hope that they are in the final. Not too bothered about who wins as often those who come 2nd/3rd are more successful anyway. But, if I had to vote, and I certainly won’t be, I would vote for James Arthur. He is the most original artist left in my opinion. Failing that, Union J. I like Jahmene too and Ella is fine, but I personally am not keen on her voice.

Thank goodness for the wonderful Strictly :star:

:hi: Fudge I agree with you about the judges in X Factor. such an odd mix it was much better with Simon Louie Dani and Cheryl.
I like Jahmene, Ella ,Chris, and Union J, don’t know if any of them would sell records though. It’s the youngsters who make the boy bands popular so if they get to the final they stand a good chance of a future IMO.
I really enjoy watching strictly but I am hopeless at putting names to the celebs and pro dancers, I really should pay more attention. Still liking Brendon he can do no wrong for me. Poor Victoria she isn’t doing very well is she. :shake:

Hi Fudge. Nice to hear from you. Yes you are right in that even if you don’t win, you can do very well. Look at JLS for example.

I have just read on ************ that Tulisa has said that she would like to mentor Nicole’s boys!!! How supportive is she being to Ella then??? I don’t like Nicole but at least she is supportive to her acts.

My favourites in this order are :

    Ella;

    Union J;

    Jahmene;

    James Arthur; and

    Chris Maloney.

I have not rated Rylan because I cannot stand him. He is deluded to think that he is more talented than Gary Barlow.

I agree with you about Tulisa. I could not believe that she chose Rylan over Kye!! Urban roots – my bottom (being polite there). She has not done herself any favours there and I don’t think that Simon will want her back next year. My favourite panel for next year would be Simon; Cheryl; Dannie Minogue and anyone who isn’t American (definitely not Louis).

I am enjoying Strictly (Lisa is my favourite) and enjoying Celeb Jungle. Don’t have an absolute favourite yet but I like most of them up to now – but let’s wait and see. Brian is so funny. Helen brings out my maternal side. Nadine should be ashamed of herself leaving her Constituants. Linda seems caring. David’s funny side is coming out. I think that Charlie Brooks will lose patience soon with Helen. Colin Baker is sweet.

Oh by the way, back to x-factor, did you hear that after Lucy Spraggan said she was too ill to continue with the competition, the Saturday after she was doing a gig on the Wednesday??Oh dear I had better shut now. Hope you are keeping well Fudge and take care.

I am with you Sammyvan and Microsis and after reading various negative comments will not bother watching BBUSA. Yes there is enough to keep us going with X-Factor; Strictly and Celeb Jungle. Poor Helen. Why do they keep picking her to do the trials. What a wus is Hugo hey? I love Ant and Dec.

Sammyvan Paradise is brilliant. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi Orchid – also looking forward to “Secrets of Crickley Hall”, coming soon. Looks like our type of show!
Do hope Tulisa picks a good song for Ella this week – she needs to show what a fantastic voice she has.
Would be terrible if we ever had Ella against Jahmane is a ‘sing off’..! Fingers crossed they both make it thru till the end.

First of all…. Biddy have a wonderful holiday!
Awww what a lovely final episode on The Paradise. A really happy ending. Moray didn’t marry the nasty spiteful wealthy Katherine, but ran into the arms of shop girl Denise. Loved this series. No swearing or vulgarity. Just a lovely love story with brilliant acting. Can’t wait for the dvd which comes out in December.
I’m really enjoying the jungle. Poor Helen :smirk: I do like her. Helen Knows what she’s like, a bit of a pain. Soooo Rosemary and Limalh go into the jungle tonight. I think Rosemary will be a good addition to the camp. If Helen manages to win some stars, then Rosemary will probably make a mouthwatering meal. My fav to win is Brian. Eric has surprised me so far. Much nicer than I expected.

Exactly Microsis… Money isn’t everything. Sure does help though. Wish Moray had done a detour and run into my arms instead of Denise’s. Poor old Miss Audrey didnt get herself a toy boy. The older fella across the street was giving her the glad eye. They came close to marrying some years ago. I like football, but England need a rocket under them. They send me off to sleep.

:hi: Louisa, The Paradise has been a lovely series. I do hope they make more there is such a lot of stories that could come out of that Store. I hope you get your DVD for christmas.
There is also a DVD of the Olympics 5 discs including the opening and closing ceromony.I think it was you that mentioned an interest in it.
I’m a Celeb is off to a good start but why do the public keep voting for the same person to do the trials? It’s beyond me. I have to agree with you about Helen she is a bit of a pain but there is something very endearing about her  Rosemary coming in tonight can’t wait I can see fun ahead, or maybe she will rattle some of the others. :giggle:

Agree with all of your comments, Ladies.
Have’nt seen the final of Paradise yet, and missed the start as well! Not doing well – will be getting the DVD for sure as I just loved what I have seen.
Strictly is my favourite at the moment – maybe because its just so lovely to watch? Its so gentle and ‘old world’ – though I would love a few more Andre Rui [?] shows.
The Celebs in the jungle… time UK stopped picking on the same people for the trials, as I have said before. If they keep picking Helen [ Rosie ] the whole group are going to be hungry as anything and it will all become very negative. The stuff she and Nadine had to eat last trial was just disgusting. :puke: Rosemary will probably get them motivated if she gets in. Heard there is a twist so who knows..?
Who exactly is Hugo – or what? Dont know him. Shame the ‘home’ group were not more welcoming to the group joining them…not a nice feeling when you arrive and feel rejected. Why cant they all play nicely….like we all do!

Sammyvan I love Andre Rieu. I would love to see him play live. That’s what I call talent! Yes, I enjoy Strictly. Had a feeling Fern might go… even before she danced. Majority of celebs who have been voted off are the older ones. I was very shocked to see Kimberley in the bottom two. Her jaw nearly hit the floor. Looking forward to saturday to see the dancers performing at Wembley.

    ,looking forward to it
    Any dark horses emerging ?
Michael has surprised me ,his ballroom has been great
shame about his Latin though ,
Victoria I feel is still very unsure of herself ,,I must admit
I feel slightly uncomfortable watching her ,and I so wanted her to do well
Denise /James ,I don’t like her never have ,I know the fact I don’t like her ,shouldn’t cloud my judgment to the fact that she is one of the best dancers by far ,just don’t want her to win. Sorry
Danni is a little fire cracker she’s doing ok

I felt very sorry for Fern, Microsis. She was not the worst on the night, and has tried so hard. Some of the publicity she gets is so unfair – I noticed some comments on DS that were just plain wrong. She made a mistake when she did not tell everyong that she had had the ‘band’ fitted [as opposed to all diet] but where is it written that we have to tell the world our private affairs! :lipssealed: Live and let live!
I thought Richard was the one who should have left? As you say, Michael has improved, especially in the ballroom. I like Louis, but my money is on Lisa. I so hope she makes it till the end? Unfortunately, I think Denise will win – cant see her being beaten.
Seems most of these shows are actually not about whether you can sing [X Factor] or dance [ Strictly] or tame the jungle [ I'm a Celeb]………its all about your fan base.
Who else here enjoyed “The Voice”…..and when is the next series?

Hey sammyvan ,,I started off loving The Voice
I found the judges having to select on voice alone
very interesting ,it must have been strange having an image in your mind of the type of person that goes
with the voice ,turning round and seeing the complete opposite ,Once the judges had made their selections though ,I went right off it ,don’t know why
I don’t even know to this day who won ,,,i stopped watching it ,
Yes it was a shame Fern was sent home ,,,I don’t
think like you she was the worst dancer on Saturday
Kimberley seems to have lost some support this week ,and if Fern had been in the dance off with someone else the outcome might have been different

What I found, Microsis, was that after the selections had been made on The Voice, it became almost a copy of XF. I have heard that they are changing the format slightly to avoid that in the next series. Hope so as, like you, the best was the initial “swinging chair” idea. I did like the 4 Mentors though and am glad they are all back.
So much to look forward to….

Hi Microsis. I did not want Fern to go on Sunday. If she had been in the dance off with Richard, then she might have been saved.

As far as the Voice is concerned, I felt the same way as you. I thoroughly enjoyed it when it was blind and then lost interest when it was face to face. So I recorded it and kept fast forwarding it. I cannot remember who won but I seem to think that the hippy kind of girl who came from a wealthy background did well and had an unusual voice.

I am enjoying Celeb Jungle so much and cross that the blooming football is stopping it being shown tonight. At least We can watch Celeb Jungle NOW on ITV2. Celeb jungle is my husband’s favourite programme. Fortunately for me, he does not like football so he is also cross it it not on tonight.

          Take care

Hi Orchid, how are you? Leanne Mitchell won The Voice. I think you are thinking of Bo Bruce. Tyler James was also in the final (best friend of wonderful Amy WInehouse) who has had several singles out and is doing very well – great voice – one of Will I Am’s proteges. Can’t wait until the next series of The Voice – SO much less prententious than X Factor and less ego driven, love it. You would never get Rylan doing well on The Voice now, would you?!!!

Sorry Sally. I have to disagree with you on that. I would put a bet on it that Ella; Jahmene and Union J could definitely sell records. Even Chris to a certain extent because for some reason he must be appealing to the audience – probably the older audience.

When Ella is allowed to record and sing her own songs she will be one hell of a star – mark my words IMO. But Sally, we are all entitled to our opinion and it would be a funny old world if we had the same opinion. Hope you are well

However, I do agree with you about the Judges and your line up would be a good one other than Louis!

As far as the judges go, I saw Danni on tv this morning, and could not remember if she was on XF or BGT? I enjoyed Danni, Sharon, Cheryl and Simon. Louis makes me want to scream – some of the comments he makes [and repeats every week] are just pitiful. Whatever Simon has become, he was the mainstay of the shows, and they seem weaker without him. There is only one winner and one recording contract. But at least X Factor has given them a show case.

Sammyvan, Hugo is from the posh reality show Made in Chelsea on E4 10pm Monday nights.
Much the same format as The Only Way is Essex. They are both all about relationships.
Hugo is a bit of a wuss and love cheat, I thought that in this show he might redeem himself and show a bit of back bone there is still time.
Like you I also think it was not a very nice welcome when both groups merged.
You are so right there is nothing worse than feeling rejected I should know Its a sadness that stays with you, and yes it would be nice if everyone played nicely.

So right, Sally. One of the elements of the Aussie BB I liked most was the crowd control – absolutely NO booing and all the ‘inmates’ getting a good reception. Because I am an avid cricket fan, and watch every game I can, there is usually no love lost between our family and anything Australian!! They always used to beat us, especially with the Ashes. Having watched this show I now have a grudging respect for them and wish we could follow their example.
      As for Hugo……not a fan.

I know just how you feel,Sally, about the pesky squirrels…….but I do love them also! Always trying to think of a way to feed both species. I know, as Irene says, you can buy some great “squirrel proof” feeders, but as we have so many out in the garden I have found them a wee bit expensive. Something you could try…I have found lots of the old-fashioned lamp shades [ the circular type with lots of metal struts from top to bottom] and I hang the feeder inside these. Somehow the squirrels hav’nt found a way to climb down the shade and then up inside again……. and the birds love the metal bits to sit on! Works a treat. For the fat balls, I hang them inside the shade and then attach another shade upside down, making a ball shape. The birds can pop in and out of the ‘ball’ and eat while the squirrels get mighty frustrated!! I do also leave food for them – but they are not allowed the pinch bird food…not at the price it is today! Hubby has 14 bird feeders up at the moment, plus three platform feeders! Sometimes think he is the one who is “nuts” !1

Hi Sammyvan, your hubby does sound ‘nuts’, but in the nicest possible way. It must cost a fortune with all those feeders!! Still there are worse ways to spend money. I’ve had a little brown wren come to visit on my doorstep for the past couple of days. Do they go for the bird seed that the other small birds like??

Hi Jenny. According to my ‘resident bird feeder’, the Wren will only normaly eat from the ground – amongst fallen leaves etc. They love broken bits of stale cheese, breadcrumbs and broken bits of dried meal worm. The meal worm will absorb moisture from the leaves and swell slightly. They are not seed eaters. Good luck!

Hi Sally, sounds like you have the same problem as me, except with me it’s seagulls who pinch all the little birds food. A couple of years ago I charged out of the house screaming like a banshee…then I slipped and broke my ankle! I couldn’t swear to it, but as I was being given gas and air on my way into the ambulance, I could have sworn there were a couple of seagulls on the rooftop laughing at me.

Hi Sally just come back on line been pretending to do some work! Lovely to read everyone’s posts. My keyboard is not working properly. Just invested in a new one and I have to really hammer it to have a hope of it working. Given up on the X Factor mainly because of the panel. Found myself drifting away when it was their turn to speak, apart from Gary that is. So think it was time to stop. Loving the jungle. Interesting to see how it develops. I agree that Rosemary S will probably create some interest! She is certainly an outspoken Lady.Sparks may soon fly with the MP also. I adore Ant and Deck. They remind me of Eric and Ernie and as I live in Sunderland I understand every word they say. There was a lovely play on Gold last night , a biography of Eric and Ernie starring Victoria Wood and Vic Reeves as Eric’s parents. Got to go this keyboard is driving me mad. Oh by the way I bought some really tough squirrel proof seed and peanut feeders on line from Ark Wildlife as well as seed mixes and nuts , really good value and quality. Our resident squirrel does his darndest but cannot get at the grub. They also sell squirrel food but I haven’t gone that far yet! I ground feed the songbirds and every night the foxes come along and vacuum up the left overs. hope you and all the regulars are going strong .Keep up the good work ladies and gents? Are their any gents posting at the moment? :hi: :handshake:

Hi Irene ,the foxes and squirrels can be quite a pain at times ,can’t they
we haven’t seen any in or around our garden for a fews years now .
But we do get the occasional visit from a Heron that swoops down on our unsuspecting fish ,leaving destruction in it’s wake , the fish are sometimes to
heavy and gets dropped onto the patio ,very upsetting .,
still that’s nature ,, we now have the pond heavily netted
at certain times of the year when we knows he’s about .
It is time for the hedgehogs to hibernate ,they must get confused with the weather we are getting at the moment
      Bye for now

Hi microsis, there is no sign of my hedgehog of last year we put the box back behind the garage but as yet nothing.
Apparently what triggers the hibernation is the cold and the lack of food available to them so I guess it can be any time now, when they hibernate.

Microsis, you have a heron….we have a Sparrow Hawk, who thinks our garden is his private cafe. He seems to wait until all the sparrows, tits, finch etc are having their dinner before swooping down and taking one of them. I get so cross [ even though as you say 'its nature] and try chasing him away. He even took one of our young wood pecker last year  Think I prefer anything else…fox, squirrel or heron…….just not birds of prey. Would love to know a way to keep them away from the birds here? Any ideas? :wondering:

So there were only three judges in the beginning of X factor.I didnt think of googling it thanks.
I have watched the play gold it was good and very interesting, and I do like Ant and Deck It’s so funny when they are watching the contestants Ants face is a picture and deck can hardley contain his laughter sometimes.

morning Microsis! What a good point, I hadn’t thought of that – the waste of money and effort (and potential programme time) by Helen not attempting the trials properly. I mean really – what did she think would happen if she took the light bulb out??!!! Give me strength! The girl cannot even do her own hair! I loved Charlie’s reaction to her – as long as you are sure in yourself Helen that you tried 100% then that is fine…… :giggle: I’m looking forward to tonight and I hope Helen ups her game when she is doing the trial with Charlie.
Haven’t seen the sun here since Wednesday :crying:

Fudge, somehow the words “light Bulb” and “Helen” make me think of the phrase….’the lights on but there’s no-one there’.
Do you think she is acting, still in Rosie mode, or does she not realise how she is coming across to us? Must be so frustrating, as Microsis says, for all that time, effort and money to be put into the trials and she’s off after a few seconds! Hats off to Ant and Dec for keeping their cool.
Charlie seems to be the only one who is not completely taken with Helen!
            Wonder how Rosemary will react?

I think Helen is acting just like Rosie in Coronation St maybe the character has rubbed off onto her.
The crew of I’m a Celeb must think she is a nightmare, After all the work and planing of the hotel trial she didn’t even get out of the first room.
Why do the public keep voting for her to do these trials? I for one would like to see them completed.
Maybe she will be better doing this water trial with Charlie.”I like Charlie”. :)

    Apologies to TBB!
I am going to post a few questions of my own later….and one will be if he would consider coming on here and answering some of ours – possibly when CBB is on and the site has many visitors and regulars. Would anyone be interested?

I always give 100% well Helen 100% of 0 is nothing ,zero ,your getting 100% air time I will give you that ,Helen made the point before returning to camp that she wasn’t sorry or apologetic she actually said she felt quite empower for sticking up for herself against Ant and Dec
Helen is so self absorbed its unbelievable .Well done Charlie / Eric and Limahl for saying how they really felt about it all .

Microsis, you have hit the nail on the head – “self absorbed” is probably the kindest word to describe Helen! I wish more of the camp-mates would speak up and tell her just what they think. As for 100%……I felt so sorry for Ant and Dec and for the guys that prepare the trials. I wonder if they will try to use them in some other way? Such a waste. I wish people would stop voting for her now.
Haven’t seen Strictly yet – or X Factor. How on earth am I going to catch up?
Aaron came back on yesterday and told a few of the negative posters just what he thought of them!! He does not hold back. The usual names cropped up – posters whowere always ‘anti’ Aaron last year, and turned the “question / answer session” into a slanging match. Wish they would just stay away, as it was interesting.

Oh dear poor Ella. I blame Tulisa for Ella’s early exit. Because she saved Rylan….. she put other talented singers at risk and it’s come back and bitten her on her u know what!
Not sure why Chris is getting all the flak, he has a very strong singing voice. He may not be a contender for the charts….. but hey! the world is made up of young and old with different tastes in music. So pleased Jahmene was voted through to next week. :hi: Louiza. I agree with much of what you say in your post. Tulisa saved Rylan over Kye which was a selfish decision in my opinion and now she has had some of the same treatment herself – losing a good singer while an entertainment artist is still in the competition. I was also annoyed that she blamed the voting public when it was her that got rid of Kye when she had the chance to get rid of Rylan. I loved Kye and have no sympathy for Tulisa now. Also, whilst I was not a fan of Ella’s voice, and I think they saved the right person last night, I think it was too early for her to leave.
Whilst I have nothing against Christopher, from my own personal taste, I hope Jahmene, James Arthur and Union J are in the final 3. But, at the end of the day, it’s only a daft competition and I never vote :giggle:

Couldn’t believe what I was seeing – Ella voted off last night? Was it a case of people just thinking she was safe and not voting? Surely not because the public did not like her voice…she had quality. I have said from the start that Tulisa was wrong for Ella – song choice was not good. Not a fan of Tulisa anyway – and as others have said…she kept ” he who shall not be mentioned” [ R ] in the competition a few weeks back! That has come back and bitten her on the b** , has it not!!
Thank Heavens that Jahmane still there…..but I can see R and Baloney will probably be the last two standing :worried:

Hi Louiza, I also can’t see why Chris is getting all this flak, he really has a good voice never flat or out of time on tune. The judges obviously don’t like him or are afraid to support him because Simon Cowell doesn’t want him to get the recording contract. I hope he is in the final.
Ella has a good voice, I am sure we will hear more of her.

Sally, I feel a bit mean now – about Chris!. I don’t dislike the man at all, and ‘hats off’ to him for coming back week after week and performing. I just dont think his voice has that “X factor” that we are looking for? Ella had a special ‘different’ note and surely thats what is needed for a recording contract? I feel Tulisa was wrong in her song choice for Ella, and that had quite a lot to do with her eviction.

Sammyvan you are quite right about Chris his voice Is good he has melody as have 100s of male singers before him who have entertained us. X factor No, not at all I just like the old sound :giggle: Ella has a different voice there is something very unusual about it she needs professional help, At 16 she has time to evolve it would not surprise me if Simon Cowell offers her help.It would be a shame if she was just forgotten. It was not the best pairing of sing off contestants. had she been up against Chris or Rylan she would have won.

Morning! Glad that Helen came to her senses and realised that acting the fool gained her no friends although it did increase her airtime which was obviously its purpose. I wonder if ITV gave her a talking to. About time she started acting normally and earned some meals for the camp. Congratulations to Limahl and Charlie for bringing this to her attention and not just playing along. Even so, don’t bring her within earshot of me, I would have a few choice words….. :giggle: :talking:

I dont know what happened with Helen – someone talked to her? or maybe she realised how she was coming over to the public? Whatever happened…Thank Heavens! Does seem strange though that she went from not being able to even stand on a wheel [ at that stage she had not even seen any creepy crawlies] to being able to stick her head amongst snakes, spiders and all sorts of creatures? :wondering: Almost like two completely different people?? :hi: Sammyvan, how are you?? I think we may have been right. I saw a headline in one of the papers this morning saying that ITV brought in a psychologist to talk to Helen and ITV also made the tasks easier for her – the one where she won 12 stars she had little contact with the bugs etc.
Anyway, glad she is no longer doing the tasks and that Hugo will get a turn tonight. Hope the others get more airtime too, such as Charlie and Linda – I enjoy listening to those two, and Colin, rather than looking at the vacant expression on Helen’s face. She has had way too much airtime in my opinion.

      :hi: Microsis, how are you??

Yes I thought that was a bit odd too although they did present it from the angle of the other celebrities’ opinions, basically getting them to comment on Helen. Must have been a time filler for the programme too. Perhaps Brian being ill in the camp took up a lot of the day and therefore coverage. We wondered if it was something to do with piles / haemorrhoids that he is suffereing from as this was mentioned later by Ashley and could be a result of the diet they have been having. It was strange that no-one seemed to be talking about him either.
Anyway, hope he’s ok, he’ll be missed in camp and by the viewers.

I don’t have a particular liking for Hugo, but I thought Rosemary and Nadine were rather mean to him last night. They were talking about him and said the food was like charcoal….he was just asking them what he should do to improve it and tell him rather than whispering and they rounded on him. At least he had a chat with Rosemary about it afterwards. All Nadine did was go off and whisper some more………not keen on her at all. Hated the way she smothered Helen too when really she was thinking ‘get a grip’. :lipssealed:

Hey ,I’m ok thanks for asking Fudge ,gosh it’s dark here had to put the lights on ,
Sad that Ella went on Sunday but I think the best person stayed in the sing off ,I loved her version of ” Believe ” at the judges houses ,but once Tulisa got her grips on her things for me went pear shaped wrong songs ,wrong image ,Ella is a clearly talented lovely girl ,management of her was to blame IMO
Does personality ,like ability come into our choices of favourites ummmm, yes I think it could ,,,
Jahmene ,James Arthur ,Union J final three for me in that order

Has anyone else got there yet?
I liked Brian also, but noticed that the slightest incident upset him and think he is in a better place with family around. Surely the lack of food saps the energy and is enough to make anyone feel ‘blue’. I often wonder, if the Celebs were getting foods that gave them more energy, would the show be more entertaining? After 5 days of little or no food they all seem lethargic and unhappy.

Yes I read that too about Helen’s trial. It wouldn’t surprise me if that is what she actually requested. She also had a long meeting with a psychologist apparently. I still think it was almost entirely put on.

I haven’t watched Crickley Hall yet – too much else going on here, but am looking forward to it.

What do you think of the Young Apprentice so far? Lesley seems a strong contender from what I have seen. Not strong competitors this year in my opinion.

Hi again. Rumours are circulating that Brian suffers from bouts of depression and that may have caused him to want to leave. Apparently, a lack of energy via food and not drinking enough can trigger this. I wish him well whatever is the reason for his departure and hope he feels much better soon xxx

Hi Fudge, I am sorry Brian has gone he was funny to start with especially before the 2 camps merged. I noticed a few days ago he was a bit down and not his cheerful self. The jungle is no place to be when not well, I hope he is recovering in the luxury of the Hotel. The rest of the Celebs must be feeling very lethargic without food surely they could supply them with some energy drinks. I feel really sorry for them, :crying:

Hi Sally, I agree with you about poor Chris. I wonder whgo is spreading all this gossip about him being a diva and not being nice to the other contestants. I could hazard a guess.

Ella will definitely not be the last we see of her. On This morning yesterday, she said she could now concentrate on writing her own songs and working on an album. Phil asked her if she would return to see them and sing a song from her album and she said “of course.”.

I know this will be controversial to a lot of people who post here but I would like to see in the final James Arthur; Union J and Chris.

Hi guys. I was gutted and so surprised that Ella was in the bottom 2 and that she was sent home. She most definitely should have been in the final!! James Arthur should not have been in the bottom 2!! My husband is so cross he has said he will never watch X-Factor ever again and I know that he means it – It my well be axed next year anyway. Ella will still be a big star anyway – mark my words. Does everybody agree (whether you liked Ella or not) that she was so dignified in her exit and her interviews since leaving? As you probably remember I do know her personally and she is a really lovely girl and is so good hearted and modest.

Getting on to Strictly, I would like Lisa to win. It will be nice for the big girls to get recognition for their talents. She is lovely to watch.

Now turning to the Jungle, I am enjoying it so much and was sad to see Brian go. My favourites at the moment are Linda, Coliin, Charlie and Rosemary. I don’t believe for one minute that Helen was putting it on when she did her first trials. On IACGMOOH NOW on ITV 2, Keith Duffy who used to be on Coronation Street with her has said what a genuinely nice girl and she is as she is shown in the Jungle. He thinks that she is high maintenance because as a young child actress starting on Coro, all the older cast members looked after her so much and she has got used to it. Bless her.

I don’t know if any of you guys are aware of this but “**********” gives lots of gossip news on BB; Jungle; Strictly; X-Factor and other programmes.

You know, Sally, been wondering that myself. Sometimes I look for a ‘smiley’ and he/she seems to have changed position! I know its not possible………its just those “senior moments” kicking in!
We need a smiley for sarcasm… I would have a few dotted around after comments made about Helen!
Sorry to hear about Brian though I did wonder after the moment he had sitting alone and haveing a little weep early in the show [ Colin came and comforted him] I know for a fact I would not cope in the jungle. I am used to the creepy crawlies, having lived amongst them for so many years, and things like rats and snakes dont bother me. It would be the combination of trials… locked in a coffin and having ‘things’ poured over me, the dark, the hunger and never knowing what was coming next. Toss all the horrible things together and I would be a basket case.
Out of interest, what does “Fubar” mean?!

Hi all. My thoughts on Helen are that she acted from the start about fearing heights and creating a massive drama. She has since then managed to walk over the bridge to the trials every day , apparently without a problem. That bridge is high. Gillian McKeith carried on in a ridiculous fashion to get all the challenges and Helen has copied her. However G McK had the intelligence to keep up her act to the bitter end no matter how idiotic she appeared. The great British public always constantly vote for the wimpish contestants or people who are unpleasant. Her fellow actors are all saying that she is not clever enough to have carried out such a game plan but I think she was not clever enough to see it through to the end and not cause such a questioning of her integrity. I felt really sorry for the others starving whilst she grabbed all the exposure she could. She has spoiled this series for me and I hope she goes first. Like all the others apart from Hugo who is rather petty and the MP woman who is ( can’t really say it on here) . Hope she goes after Helen

Hi Irene I do agree with you about Helen, and the way she has coped or acted in the jungle. But the people responsible for spoiling the show are the voters who constantly voted for her to do the trials,it doesn’t make any sence what satisfaction can they get?unless they want to spoil it for others. Lets hope it is at an end.
Maybe the rules should be changed.
Perhaps when a celeb has done a trial they could be exempt from the vote the next day.
Rosemary and Colin were exempt last night for health reasons so the rules can be changed.
ITV are raking in the pennies every time the public vote for Helen so they will be happy with that

Yes Sally I agree that exemption the day after a trial would be a good idea. Give the others a chance and discourage bad sportsmanship from the pretenders. The only fearful person I have seen, who I did not believe to be an act was Sunita last year. But who knows? It is time for a change of rules though. The outcry about Helen has been pretty fierce. :mmm:

I agree completely with your comments about Helen. I do think Hugo is improving though.

Loved the fact that Nadine took the credit for Helen’s ‘change in fortunes’ – HILARIOUS! Nothing to do with them dumbing down the tasks, or Helen realising just what a fool she was making herself out to be. These people do not cease to amaze me.

I can think of several thousand things. Apparently she is giving her salary for the duration of the show to charity but keeping the big bucks for herself. Philanthropic to the end. Of course that could all be press rubbish. Wasn’t Hugo brave though and wasn’t it good to see someone else doing a task.

I haven’t watched Crickley Hall. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is, without scaring myself to death. Is it good? Horrible day here in Shropshire, wet, dark and proper gloomy.. A new living room carpet is being fitted at the moment… so that will cheer me up.

Hi Sally. It is 2.45 her in Lincolnshire. It has been raining non-stop all day and it has been dark (light it is night time) since 11.00 a.m.

There is no way I could go into the Jungle for any amount of money. I could not do the eating task. I gag at brussell sprouts. I am scared of EVERYTHING – especially daddy long legs. I think that they all do well to cope with it all.

Hello all, , it is easy for the viewers the mock the celebs from the cosy confines of home. Wouldn’t do it for any fee! So sad about Brian. He did at times look fragile and I hope he gets well soon. Loving Colin and Rosemary . Apparently tonight she has stern words with the MP (Nadine?) That should be interesting. Wish BB was on though , still my fave. Awful dark and wet day again here in Sunderland. Leccy bill zooming. My brother just bought solar panels and even in this gloomy corner of the country they generate quite a bit of power. He reckons they pay for themselves in 7 years. OK if you have no plans to move on. Can’t see the removal men up on the roof ! I agree Sally that the public is at fault for voting Helen to do all the trials, but she knew how to behave to encourage that response from the start. Just an old cynic! :giggle:

Gone right off him now and hope he is next out.My dad had a saying that went “He is evenly balanced with a chip on each shoulder”. He must also have given his massive earnings away to be so judgemental of people with money!!! A thoroughly unpleasant character now.

Hi de hi!! Morning campers!

Yay! Nadine has gone! Helen next? Or will it be Eric or Rosemary who was really quite unpleasant last night. Gone right off Rosemary, who seems to think that barking at people is acceptable. She is clearly starting to become unpopular in the camp. I was surprised that she expected Hugo to help with the cooking after he had already scalded his hand and worked so hard at the trial.

And, what a trial it was! WOW!! Well done Hugo, what a :star: I would never have done so well in a million years and I dare say neither would any of your campmates. Good on you.

By the way, Helen had complained she had no make up yet she was miraculously fully made up for the eviction announcement…..how did that happen???

Hi Irene, Yes she could certainly cook for me anytime too. In fact, I am soooo grateful when anyone cooks for me at all, it is really quite sad  . I hope she will realise how she is talking to people and whilst that might be her way, we all have to adapt when we are working in a big group and be aware of others’ sensitivities. One of the things that makes us adults I suppose. Particularly as she was one of the late arrivals in camp.
Wasn’t impressed by Eric’s comment last night but I suppose if someone is as vain and self-absorbed as Helen clearly is, that can trigger reactions in some people. I would certainly find her impossible to tolerate, but I wouldn’t have said that. Would have said some other things though

Still love Charlie and hope we get to see more of her as the others get voted off (fingers crossed!). It’s turning out to be a pretty good series anyway, even with the loss of Brian.

Charlie has countered him a few times I think. I like Charlie.

Don’t like Eric or Rosemary, but they do make the show interesting….we don’t want just the quiet ones left do we?

By the way, guess who was queuing behind me at the train station the other day – yes, you guessed it, Christopher Biggins with his gentleman friend! Charming he was too.

I was not a fan of Hugo ,but he went up in my estimation after his performance in the trial last night well done Hugo ,I think there is some reverse snobbery coming from Eric towards Hugo ,I must admit I found It quite funny when Rosemary was lying flat out in the box snoring away ,even the dogs reacted to her snoring .
Was David being a wus getting out the box before any creepy crawlies was even put in i dont think so ,he could have stuck it out I’m sure and he knew that ,was he convinced he would not be the first to leave and so wanted a good nights sleep and not endure a rough night in the box ,could have backfired on him ,Colin was a trooper he tried so hard but his back finished it for him

Hi Microsis Not sure about David and yes I was v surprised at his premature departure. Me thinks he was a teeny bit scared really. Hugo was so surprising and pretty brave. So good to see someone else doing a task.Eric is proving to be a trial in himself and needs something to do to distract him from bitching. Felt so sorry for Helen. It was vile the way he treated her. Linda spoke last night, just think she is not getting the coverage of some of the others. Love her and Charlie . Well I’m finding the majority of them to be nice this series with only the odd exception and one of them went last night thank goodness. Hope nasty Eric goes next. :handshake:

Eric Bristowe reminds me of my brother (we are not close) because his idea of fun is to make hurtful and personal remarks and then as soon as he gets a reaction he say’s ‘I was only joking, can’t you take a bit of fun’? It’s not funny or clever to belittle other people. I hope Bristowe is next out.

Then I realised (after having my senior moment) that you meant departure from the box. :giggle: :giggle: What a wus was he. David’s departure seemed to follow Hugo discuussing the snakes in his task. Are they his Achiles heal? I can’t remember seeing snakes in the tasks that David was involved in.
I also felt that the whole bed bug task was rather unfair as poor Limahl was the only one to have snakes in with him. The crickets are unpleasant to have crawling on you but rats can bite. They should all have had the same creture/s.

Rosemary should let them get on with the cooking.
Let Eric do it he wouldn’t bother if he ruined it.his only talent is having a go at other people what has he done in camp nothing.

Yodays thoughts…? Congratulations to Hugo. He did well despite me not rating him too highly so far.
Eric needs his fellow campmates to put him in his place ..dont know much about the man outside camp and dont think much of his behaviour inside. Hope he leaves next.
Nadine- she needs to go home and have a good long think about herself and her future. Dont trust MP’s much, but part of me thinks she has got a bit of a raw deal in the jungle. [ takes shelter under table :itwasntme: ] ITV were never going to show anything worthwhile about her – she was this years ‘bad girl’ and even if she had made the political speech of the year it would not have been aired. The Daily Mail, and other papers similar, have spoken – so Nadine will be tarred and feathered! Apart from her being an MP I know nothing else about her, so am not going to add to the comments.
I did wonder where Helen had managed to get make-up from – she went from being remarkably red faced to looking ready for a photo shoot!
As for Rosemary and “the Voice” – I dont think she is shouting at her campmates. She has always talked like that, in all her shows, and even apologised to them last night saying she gets passionate about cooking and tends to bark out orders. Its part of her personality and, IMO, not meant badly?
Charlie and Colin still my favourites.
:fubar: …..Just had to use it!!!

:hi: Sammy What a fab post.
In particular about Rosemary I agree with you, she is and has always been loud when giving instructions, there is no malice in her she is not shouting just loud in her direction.
I wondered about the makeup but notice they are using spray tan on their faces.
Perhaps Helen was saying she had not any makeup on, at the time Eric had a go at her,not that she didn’t have any make up.
Unfortunately Nadine was the bad girl before she went into the jungle I can’t see what she did wrong but like you I didn’t know much about her. some one had to go first as my least favourite I was glad it was her. Eric out next please.

Eric is an overbearing fool and needs to get off his backside. He was smoking at the same time as clawing Helen to bits about hers and her family’s eating habits. It wasn’t humour it was nasty. I am 64 orchard born May 48 a vintage year ! What I really loved about growing up when I did was being a teenager in the 60′s. My friend and I saved our pocket money to go to one night stands(concerts) and saw so many stars of the time. There would be such a line up of talent at every show. My favourites were The Beatles and we saw them every time they were in the north east. Every bit of space in my bedroom was plastered with their pictures including the ceiling and inside the wardrobe doors. I nearly touched John Lennon on stage at the same time as my friend holding on to me so I didn’t fall over the edge and onto the stage, that would have been the ultimate thrill of course. Still haven’t forgiven her! AHHHHH magic memories   . Named my 1st son John.  . Back to the jungle I agree with Janicer that it would be fairer if they all had the same critters in bed with them tara for now

Had a scary recall letter from the hospital last week. I have been watching the jungle….. but my head was elsewhere. After an appointment yesteday, all was ok. Now I can start enjoying the campers again. Lovely to see Brian on tv this morning. He still looked unwell, but was sounding very positive. I have sooooo gone off Eric Bristow. He comes out with very hurtful comments. I have noticed none are directed at David. I’m thinking he doesn’t want to feel a right hook off him. Still liking Colin, Linda, Rosemary and Ashley. I’m not sure about Charlie. I dislike her character in Eastenders….. think I am finding it difficult to separate the two. Ashley is really growing on me. She fits in well with the other celebs and takes everything in her stride. Ashley is a pretty girl but doesn’t come across as vain. I think she has caught the attention of Dec and Joe Swash.
Great to hear Ella may get a record deal….. I bet she will have a fantastic music career.

Glad you got the ok in your appt yesterday Louiza. I have a few family members in the same predicament.

Yes it is a good jungle this year with some good characters in. What was the story with Brian then? He couldn’t have had a breakdown – he wouldn’t have been back on telly so soon.

I like Linda and Ashley too, can’t really comment on Colin as he has gone so quiet but he seemed nice enough before.
I like Charlie too, she has spirit. I didn’t like Janine in Eastenders either (who did?) but I don’t feel Charlie resembles her at all. Good acting I suppose!!
I don’t like Rosemary at all now, thought she was rude to Hugo last night (again!). Don’t know why she tells others that they have to adapt to living with others and considering their feelings in the jungle, when she makes absolutely no attempt to do so herself……hmmm. Also, wonder what it says in the ‘Ladette to Ladies Guide’ about snoring like a trooper!!! Not very ladylike methinks  Try sleeping on your tum tum Rosemary, that should fix it!

Think Eric is there just to wind people up now so, while he may not be our cup of tea, he is good value to watch :giggle: Hey ho

:hi: Fudge. Apparently Brian has been on anti-depressants for 15 years and from what I can recall, he stopped taking them. Poor Brian. You never know about people do you? Such a funny man but on TV this morning he looked well and back on his medication.

Yes I agree about Rosemary and what about her pumps (not her shoes tee hee :giggle: ). Pumping in front of people isn’t very lady like is it? Am I being a bit of a prude? I do have a good sense of humour and love to laugh. However, I have never found that sort of toilet humour very funny. Although men seem to think that it is hilarious.

I am getting to like Ashley now and doesn’t she look pretty without a trace of makeup. I daren’t leave the house without my mascara and lippy on for fear of frightening the neighbours. :giggle:

Very impressed by your make up routine Orchid. I managed some foundation, mascara and lipgloss yesterday afternoon, a minor miracle in itself, and my friends just kept staring at me in the school playground. Oh well, at least they weren’t screaming and running away for once..

Have you or anyone watched The secret of Crickley Hall yet ,I have ,,,,not quite what I expected I must admit ,but i think i could get hooked ,,,won’t say any more in case I spoil it for someone
Hubby was upstairs laying a carpet in the back bedroom at the time I watched it ,so there I was on a dark dismal afternoon all alone ( well sort of alone the dogs don’t count ) watching this spooky story enfold ,,

I do so agree with you about Eric Bristow what a rude and hurtful man.
I think Charlies character might put a lot of people off her,but I think she is coming over quite well. I havent got a real favourite they are all brave just being there. You wouldn’t get me in the jungle for all the tea in China.

Thank you Sally. I will think positive thoughts for you and wish you well at your next appointment. I agree Sally the jungle wouldn’t be for me. I flash a torch behind my bed and up the walls before I get into bed every night. I’m not bothered by spiders in the daylight… but the thought of one crawling near me when I am sleeping, gives me the shivers. I liked Eric to start with but that soon wore off. I hate people who belittle others, to big themselves up. When Rosemary was cooking for the camp last night, I had to look away. She was brutal with that meat! I know the creature is dead but Yuck! Oh and then she forgot to wash her hands and put them straight into the fruit. I love Rosemary…. but I think I may have stuck with the beans and rice last night. :music: :music: :music:

Louiza, spiders at night! I remember an elderly Aunt of mine coming out from the uk to visit us on the farm ages ago in Africa, She was petrified thinking about all the creepy crawlies around. My father told her that if she put talc on her face at night before sleeping, in the morning she would see the spiders foot-prints across her face!!! After that she would cover herself completely in a net every night. So cruel!
Spiders were the only thing that ever scared me.
Rosemary and ‘the hands’ was a little yuk last night, but I would think hygiene has probably slipped slightly in the jungle!

Irene :hi: Did you not get the joke about us referring to senior moments and then me saying I am aso in my 60′s and then saying how were you? :giggle: Never mind luv.

I was born in 1949. Yes I agree about going to concerts but I never got to see anyone as famous as the Beatles. I only went to see groups at our local Mecca. I absolutely loved Herman from Herman’s Hermits and saw him at the Mecca – those were the days. Actually, I had my first date with my husband at the Mecca in l968 and we have been together ever since and still extremely happy. Unfortunately, we were unable to have children which I think has made us closer. However, I have lots and lots of God children.

    Take care

Yes Orchard did get it  but went off yet again at a tangent. Fab to read your recollections. What an exciting time it was. And we met our future husbands  Congrats on your long marriage and many more years to come. We worked at the same accountancy firm and started “courting” in 1969 married in 1970 and are still battling it out.The odd occasion I let him out of the cellar we get on OK. But that’s as much as i can take. We all find our ways of coping in life  No he’s all right really :giggle: Are you and your hubby retired yet? Loved hermans hermits as well. Weren’t the dances great. We had a Mecca which has just been pulled down to make way for guess what? Another Tesco . Isn’t the retail world v boring nowadays? Must go meeting a mate for lunch TARA for now luv :handshake:

:hi: Irene. I was married in 1969. I was a second hand rose. Could not afford new wedding dresss etc so had second hand one but in those days where I was brought up, it was not unusual. Nowadays, not many girls would have second hand wedding dresses. However, it was the best day of my life :puke: :giggle:

My hubby is nearly 3 years younger than me so he is still working. I think that I might have invented toyboys (unless anyone here can let me know different :giggle: ). I was a solicitor specialising in family law which was very stressful – much like most jobs nowadays though. However, I have just retired and I am absolutely loving it so much. I have never beenm a full time housewife so I like getting a meal ready for my hubby each evening. I don’t know how long that will last :giggle: :giggle: Are you and your hubby retired yet?

Our Mecca was pulled down a few years ago and is now just waste land. So sad.

        Enjoy your lunch luv. :drink:

Were they less materialistic times back then or did we have much lower expectations? The thrill of wedding present was fab though and most of us were starting completely from scratch. Still use a few of our pressies to this day. I love the nostalgia. So glad you are enjoying your retirement luv. You have worked hard for a long time and good luck to you both. My husband still works full time and myself very part time. We have a fencing company but sadly our pension has been badly hit and we are trying to sell the business to help fund retirement. Fortunatelky my hubby is a confirmed workaholic so he seems quite happy. He does work long hours- 60 plus a week and is now 66 yrs old. HIs father retired at 75 so it’s in his blood. Enjoy your cooking it’s great when you have the time isn’t it. We are currently lunching most days on store cupboard broths. Basically whatever I’ve got goes in the mix. Sticks to your ribs. Ta ta for now :music:

I must just tell you a funny story of what happened last night. For safety reasons I knit little mice and big rats for my cat and cat charities because they are safe. Last night I was knitting as I was watching jungle. All of a sudden I saw something out of the corner of my eye and jumped up from the sofa and screamed and scared my husband to death. :whew: I then realised it was only the end of my knitting needle. What a wus am I but at least my husband and I had a good laugh for a while.

Same year as me, Orchid! My first ever concert was Tom Jones – late starter as I lived in Africa and only came over for holidays! My parents were also very strict….and scared to let me loose over here as a teenager. Cant think why!!
Not impressed with Eric – does he really think he is so popular? The man needs putting down and I hope he goes very soon….followed by Hugo.
I see Rosemary is favourite on the ITV poll, followed by Charlie and Ashley. I also love Colin.
So glad to hear Ella has a recording contract in the pipeline – good for her.
If Rylan stays again this week the I will resort to a short tantrum  in my lounge – followed by numerous glasses of wine to drown my sorrows. I have a horrible feeling………… :worried:

I have a sneaky feeling that the bottom 2 this week will be Rylan and Chris and Chris will go but one never knows after last week. If Rylan does stay, I will also have numerous glasses of wine. Oh just a minute, that is what I do every Sunday anyway :giggle: :giggle: :drink:

I got married in 1995, in the same village as I was born in Norfolk in the beautiful old church. Still married to the same chappy and have 3 little monkeys, 15, 12 and 4 years old.

I was too young to see the Beatles live but I knew all their songs (still do) and remember being at school when John Lennon was shot and writing on my rough book ‘Lennon Lives On’. He was my favourite, not so keen on old Paul McCartney.

Hopefully it will have stablised / shrunk and they can make a decision from there.

Oh Fudge, John Lennon was my favourite Beatle also and I can remember so vividly the news when he was shot. When I go to New York, I have to go to “Strawberry Fields” in Central Park and sit on a bench and remember him. I did not have the memory of nearly touching John Lennon as did IRENE did.

I don’t know if you feel the same way as me when you say about Paul McCartney. I did like him and thought he had a good long marriage with Linda, but when she died, I thought he got married far too soon to Heather!!!!!

Congratulations on 17 years of marriage. As a recently retired divorced Lawyer, I consider that is a long marriage. :drink:

Hi Orchid, thanks for the congratulations!!! Sometimes it does feel like 170 years but we keep on plodding on!! Too busy to really notice how the years slip by I suppose.

Yes I went to Strawberry Fields too in Central Park. I liked all the Beatles when they were together, but it annoyed me a bit when Paul complained about it being Lennon and McCartney rather than McCartney and Lennon, back in the ’90s. Just a bit mean after what had happened to John and what an incredible talent he was  . I find Lennon’s music terribly emotional.
Then, as you say, Paul married Heather and the rest is history…..!!! Married again now, to an American lady I believe.

I felt sorry for Charlie she really wanted to do it but was rejected by the men she really was cross but kept her cool. I was sorry we didn’t see more of Linda. The producers really need to look at how the trials can be shared out more evenly so that every one gets more air time.

Tired of Eric now. Why do they let him get away with such rudeness? Shocked Linda left. Don’t know who I want to win. Sad about Brian. He picked the worst time to stop his medication didn’t he. He needs to be a little kinder to himself. Think Charlie is a sweetie and hope she gets to do a trial. She is one gutsy lady from what i have read. When Ant and Dec say “it might be you / and you” …does that mean those TWO people had the lowest number of votes? I always wonder if they just choose any other person to name alongside the evictee?
Who is voting to save Eric?

How did Eric manage to get enough votes to stay in the jungle?? Yes Sally a sterling effort from David. He made it look easy. Sally I think the celebs should only do two trials in total when voted by the public. Once they have done the two, they should be exempt from anymore trials unless they volunteer later in the show. I’m not the only one to notice that Dec is rather taken with Ashley. The newspaper has picked up on it as well. Could there be jungle love   Will we all be reading about Dashley??? Hope we don’t get anymore shocks on Xfactor this weekend. I think Victoria will be leaving Strictly tonight, she is just not improving and I think the public are getting fed up with her excuses. I hope she goes tonight. Bit disappointed that both Louis and Dani were undermarked. They always mark those who go first quite harshly (Dani) but I’m not sure why they undermarked Louis….. Flav certainly was not a happy lady about it, could see the steam coming out of her ears. Hope that Dani gets to the final, she has improved week on week and really deserves it and I love Vincent anyway!
Denise was brilliant as usual. Thought Lisa was overmarked, don’t think she should stay too much longer, but she might get to the semis. Thought Nicky was brilliant and also a bit undermarked. Well done Michael too, but I am worried you might be in the dance off – fingers crossed. Argentine Tango is a very hard dance for the celebrities.

She is understated, has worked hard, while still filming and Vincent is a terrific choreographer and very funny too.

I love Michael too and think he is approaching the show in the right way….working hard but can laugh at himself.

I used to love Louis but I think he has let himself down a bit recently – late for training, winding up Flav, so I hope he turns a corner and comes back into the running. He certainly could, he has the talent in my opinion. Love Flavia, could watch her dance all night. Come on Louis!

I think Lisa should go next, I think she has been overmarked and I don’t want her to stay while others such as Nicky get knocked out instead. Nicky was brilliant this week, so pleased he got such high marks.

I am going to be so sad when this show ends…. :crying:

I could watch Vincent and Flavia Argentine Tango all day love it ,
I didn’t realise that it was the SCD female professional dancers in the opening sequence
until I saw Flavia ,she stands out a mile ,
I will miss SCD as well ,the music ,beautiful dresses ,,the banter between the judges ,behind the scenes chit chat, Lens lens ,and of course watching a celebrity with two left feet turn into a dancer ,great
