big brother 2013 i just hope they are going to have some better house mate than some of this year lot!!! Some good Conner got his 50k the true winner of this year bb good for him.
Staying controversial then ?! I hope next year we get some genuine people. Think we should introduce a rule that if you are suspected of having a “showmance” you will be put up for the vote!
I’d like to see some real characters and wait for a week before the first eviction. Getting someone to nominate on first night doesn’t really give people a chance to show their potential and older HMs will always be put up by younger ones.
we don’t need an eviction on the first week, but its all down to money .BB want us to start spending on our phone votes as soon as possible .So I guess they will stick to that format.

Trouble is we sometimes change our minds, I know I do. We really need a week or two to make our minds solid.
Most definately Jules,,You cannot make your mind up what a person is like in two or three days, personnally i don’t think there should be any nominations untill the second week…Then not only the HM’s themselves but the viewers have a better insight to what they are like…and who they like………
BB is just the opposite we havent the faintest idea who they are or what they are like.This year I backed Adam then changed my mind to Deana but by the end of the show I just hoped that they would both be in the final .
The 3 out -siders deserved to be there.
Any one of them could have been nominated on a first night noms if it had been one of the others doing the noms.

There are special powers given to a hm still in the house from the previously evicted hm ,,,

Hi girls ,we had an excellant night, the room was packed. It turned out that the night was in aid of charity as well so it was money well spent. We had a four course meal and I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment.
A few said that Brian wasnt up to his standards, hubby thought he had lost his voice so to speak but tbh, I enjoyed it. The chappie is now 73, he looks good and he performed well. Such energy.
The dance floor in view of the amount of tables, wasnt to great and I didnt have the correct shoes on, only tried it once.
Hubby wont dance anymore and my son-in-law bless him, is very wooden. I love to just let it go and dance away
I think maybe I may be past it now simply because it affected my RA. The weather isnt too good for it neither. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! (the RA).
I spent the next day doing absolutely nothing other than preparing the food aspect! The mind is willing though

Having watched both US version and now watching the AU version, id say they are heaps better than the UK version. All 3 are very different, but the UK one is only about creating conflict and arguments, while i’m very much enjoying and laughing a lot watching the US and the AU version.
The UK producers needs to think up something new!

Our last BB was depressing to say the least.
It is hard to say why our BB is so negative these days ,Is it the choice of housemates? Or is it the producers and editing?
Lets hope BB uk producers take a few hints from the AU BB.
I think one thing they should stop with on the UK version is to let the housemates hear the reactions of the outside, which only seem to influence the house in a bad way.
They seem to let the Aussies be naughty and bitchy but take it as a “gameplay” within the house and just let the viewers watch it from a distance.
I love how they can have an argument one moment and then start doing a chorus line together the next , it’s hilarious and for the first time in many seasons of watching BB i enjoy watching EVERY single housemate even if I don’t agree with some of their morals or behaviour.
Another thing, Big Brother AU seems to crack down harder on them when swearing and there are serious warnings straight away when anyone talks about nominations.
There is a lot of fotage showing of the housemates entertaining eachother and all the dancing and singing, whilst in the Brittish version we don’t see much of the “funny” people but most that is highlighted is gossip and arguments.
I will definately be watching BB US and BB AU again…and BB UK needs to change thier concept!
JULES: I am so glad you enjoyed your night out at the weekend with the Tremeloes. I don’t know what you mean when you say you were suffering with your AR. But if you mean arthriitis, I know what you mean. I have suffered with this since my 30′s. You and others on this site, have young minds but probably suffer with aches and pains and it is sad sometimes that youngsters think that we were never young ever. BUT maybe we thought like that then when we were in our 20′s and 30′s!!!
I know I am only 64 and suffer with Arthritic hips and other niggles but enjoy life but after one night out cannot stand the next night out. Two nights out now are too much for me and my hubby.
I would have loved to have spent the night seeing the Tremeloes with you Jules and your hubby. I think that we would have had a great night out – especially if Brains; Sally; Microsis; Sammyvan; Biddy; Skyeman; Star; Catkin; Fudge; Katycarrot; and anyone else I have forgotten to mention could have joined us.

Hi Star. X factor is very tough this year. Lot of competition. Unfortunately, my favourite for the groups did not get to go to Judge’s houses because one of them could not get a visa for USA so they are out of the competition.
As far as the girls are concerned, there is a lot of competition. My favourite is Ella Henderson who is 16 and writes her own songs and as far as I am concerned is brilliant.
There is also a lot of competion with the boys. I do not have a favourite at the moment but I cannot stand the Essex boy. I cannot remember his name but I think that he his called Rydall??? ( I think). He was on a reallity show as a potential model with Katie Price not so long ago and did not win. He is so false.
There are a lot of good “overs” also. I do not have favourite at the moment. But I think that the girl who did not get past Judge’s homes last year into the live shows has a good chance of getting through to the live show this year.
But my favourite to win is ELLA HENDERSON.

I live down in Hampshire and we have been lucky weatherwise. One or two heavy downpours and the odd big puddle but nothing serious. Just saves me going out and watering my sweet peas which are still flowering can you believe! Everything is so late. Nice and sunny today but a slightly cool breeze.
Only one more week to wait until my favourite – Strictly Come Dancing!!! – although there has already been a casualty. Johnny Ball fractured Aliona’s ankle yesterday and she won’t be dancing for at least a month. My son will be devastated, he is completely in love with her. They are finding him another partner (shinpads provided!) but I think he might be voted off before the month is up which means……….no Aliona, oh dear. Maybe in the group dances later on, fingers crossed!

Interesting to read the info on possible celebs going into the jungle. The only one I Knew who had signed up was Helen Flannigan. (Rosie Webster) from Corrie. I bet she throws a few strops, ha ha. Nigel Planer was a voice on The Magic Roundabout. Not sure which character he was.
I didn’t know about a wild card on the X Factor. A few good ones slipped through the net. I liked Josh/Joe……? the good looking one with a rock edged voice. His little boy ran on the stage in his 1st audition. I guess the viewing figures will be up with the appearance of Cheryl Cole. Pleased she is happy and healthy, although she’s not really my cup of tea.
I’m really looking forward to Strictly. Have a feeling Johnny Ball may be given the boot first.

FUDGE – yes I absolutely loved watching the Ryder Cup. On Saturday I thought that we did not stand a chance but Sunday was amazing. Fudge the Americans were not booing Luke Donald. All spectators always chant – “Luke, Luke Luke”. A few years ago I thought the same as you until my husband explained it to me. It is an endearing chant and Luke always smiles. It is the same sort of thing when Olathabal (don’t know if spelt correctly) and any other Spanish golfers play and the crowd sing – “Olay Olay Olay Olay.
I was very proud and emotional about our European golfers. Very well done to Poulter on Saturday – 5 birdies in a row.
I have watched up to 5 episodes of Aus BB. Don’t know yet if I will be able to keep on – not hooked yet.
We seem to disagree on the word classy
I would say a classy lady does not sun bath naked in the garden on view of open fields and windows from the house where staff and security are. It was an Error on the part of Kate and a gross intrusion of the photographer. I would imagine the queen shaking her head in disbelief.
Kate does look beautiful and carries herself in an elegant and stylish manner. It was the act that was not classy. She must be embarraced
As members of the Royal family they cannot behave in the same way as us ‘commoners’, partying, getting drunk, swearing in public (not me of course
I wish them well and hope they can carry on this great tradition.

My Dad is having a break from his chemo for a while and seems a bit brighter in himself so that’s good. We hope to visit them in Norfolk for Christmas so looking forward to that
FUDGE; We watched the whole of Ryder Cup on Sky Sports 1. My hubby and I only like tennis and golf and athletics as far as sport goes so when the Ryder Cup is one we just pay for Sky Sports 1 for one month. Having Sky plus we start watching the golf a couple of hours after the start, so we can just fast forward through the breaks.
We think that in the Ryder Cup when it is in America, they don’t give us the same courtesy when it is over here.
Sorry to hear about your Dad having to have chemo but glad that he is a bit brighter in himself. I have known a lot of people with cancer and they always seem very brave about it – braver, I think, than I would be.
Oh dear, I have now watched 8 episodes of Aust BB including the live noms and I think that I may be hooked.
FUDGE; I could kick myself after you pointing out that I could have watched the golf live on the internet. I could have saved myself £14.50. At least I know for 2014.
Oh sorry Orchid, but I am absolutely sure that it would have been 100 times nicer sitting in comfort in front of a TV screen watching Sky Sports 1 than it would have been sitting in front of my little PC in a crammed office space full of papers!!
I think it was definitely money well spent, especially in view of the very exciting end and result! We’re not big sports fans here either – just the 6 Nations, Wimbledon and one offs like the Ryder Cup for us (not forgetting the Olympics of course!!)

When I come back home I really need something to lift my spirits and am just loving this show. Love Layla and Ben is a strange one? I’m on 28 now, so probably still way behind you. Its tempting to sneak ahead and see what’s what – have resisted so far!

Orchid.. I also loved the Ryder cup and had to stay up watching till the final putt! I always do with golf. The other sport I will watch and try not to miss a game, is cricket. I enjoy all the teams – even those in the southern hemisphere, and know the manes of most of the players!
Fudge, agree with most of your comments on Kate. Lovely girl and I hope she and Willian will have a long and happy life together BUT… she must realise her old way of life is over. From the day she became attached to William, everything she does is ‘public’ and she and her husband will be judged on every detail of their lives. If she wants an ‘all over’ tan then a sun bed would be the answer.
I remember Diana’s death as if it were yesterday. I lived in Africa then, in Zimbabwe, and the whole country was in mourning for her. I hope Kate learns from her mistakes, that she will be watched 24/7 from now on.

Yes Fudge and Orchid ditto. Such terrible anguish for her family. I travelled over that bridge about two months ago on the way to the coast. I have passed through the town many times during my lifetime. Now I hear little April has a disability. The world can be such a cruel place. Earlier this year a man stabbed his children and killed himself at a beauty spot, just up the road from where I grew up. A little village called Pontesbury. We used to go on walks there. That left me in disbelief.
Yesterday I laid some flowers on the spot here in Hampshire where the two little children and their father perished last Sunday evening. More little angels in heaven, but far too early. What a tragedy, people here feeling so sad, devastating to see the tributes.
Time and hope running out for little April. Still desperately praying for a miracle for her

Great SCD last night. Thought Brendan and Victoria would be at the top of the leader board but Victoria struggled with her nerves. Oh well it’s early days. They do look a well matched couple. Brendan is showing Victoria the upmost respect for the wonderful sports woman she is. Colin Salmon has got the moves.
Looking forward to tonight to see how the other contestants fare. Darcy is a good judge. She gives positive feedback. Craig slated most dancers last night. 
Hi Louiza,yes it was a good start to SCD. I do hope Victoria overcomes her nerves. Brendan will encourage her he can be very dominant but also has that tender streak. They look good together I hope they go a long way in the competition.

Thought it was an OK show last night. Denise and Colin were very good, Michael Vaughan was pretty good too in spite of nerves, but then he has got Natalie, a brilliant teacher. Victoria’s was a bit of a car crash and the judges were very lenient with her.
Disappointed that there wasn’t a group dance last night, hopefully there will be tonight.
Didn’t think much at all of Darcy, she seemed very nervous too. Suggesting Victoria should reduce the height of her heel was unusual….
Bring back Arlene, that’s what I say, she was excellent and knew her stuff about ballroom/latin. Hate this bias against older women….

Hi Beth, yes, we always watch It Takes Two. Claudia used to host it who I loved, but last year Zoe Ball took over. I didn’t think I would warm to her, as I wasn’t terribly keen on her as a contestant, but she was excellent on It Takes Two. Great little programme, amazing how they can keep it interesting and fun for 5 shows a week, 1/2 hour per show, running the whole length of the contest. Love it!

Sadly my mother passed away on 7th October – I firmly believe she is now with dad in a happier place. Life can be cruel – but also so wonderful. Thank you all for your support and messages. Really helped coming on here and reading them.

Not keen at all on Sam, like Micheal, glad Josh may get back to normal, dislike Bradley and would probably drown the little rat if I was in the house. Angie can be a real ‘piece of work’ though I like her sometimes, Estelle – wish they would stop picking on her, and I think Zoe needs to get back to the ‘country girl’ she was when she came in. Getting a little too bitchy now – why does she suddenly dislike Layla?

I agree with you about X Factor also – I’m a Strictly girl myself!! Not keen on Jerry, she is a prima donna apparently, asking for 360 degree mirrors and mood lighting !!! Still, Anton is there really for the humour content while he bides his time before taking over from Brucie. I do like many of the others though, including Lisa. However, for me, the main enjoyment is from watching the pro dancers and ITT during the week.

Oh Sammy I was so sorry to hear of your Mum’s passing. You stick with your belief that your Mum is in a happier place with your Dad. I am sure that she is. It is you who is feeling sad now and the pain is yours and not your Mum’s. I am thinking of you as I am sure a lot of the girls are.

Xfactor is annoying me this year. Something is missing. I don’t think the chemistry between the judges is very good and talented singers are being sent home. Good luck to Ella she has a fantastic voice.

I really want to thank each and every one of you for your lovely comments and hugs. Truly helped me thru some dark days. I had looked after mum for 10 years, so I have taken time to adjust to life.
Microsis, I have just finished todays episode of BB AUS so am completely caught up at last! Have really enjoyed this series and so glad you put us all on to it. I liked Michael at the start, also thought Zoe was down to earth and a good person. Shame she has become ‘infected’ by Ben. I wonder if he could go this week? That would shake up the little group. Never took to Stacy – she is not what she appears to be! Still like Layla – not sure if she is playing to the cameras, but if she is playing a game then she is doing it well and keeping me entertained. I also feel for Estelle and would like her to be there right till the end.
Orchid, I think Ella is great, love her voice and if I shouldvote at all this year she would be one of my choices. Also like Jehmane – not just cos he is from Wiltshire, but also he has the sort of voice I enjoy. Not into the screaming type! Its a shame that X Factor is just plain dull this year – dont enjoy the judges having a go at each other all the time, never liked Louis W anyway.
Strictly appeals to me right now, much more gentle and graceful, and the costumes are wonderful. I record xfactor and ‘fast forward’ most of it then settle to watch strictly in my own time. Its great recording everything and watching when I can.
Biddy – glad you are in the driving seat now! Microsis can be a devil behind the wheel!

Big baby was so funny the first time Zoe and Micheal were looking after it .The nappy change hilarious.
Stacy is a strange one, I do like some of her outfits and the way she does her hair reminds me of the fifties.
I love strictly. But the x factor not so much I only half watch it if you know what I mean.
I have also been watching Merlin and am enjoying that . Also Downton Abby , The Paradise and Homeland my recorder is working overtime.

As for Big Baby, sure is a large child……brings tears to the eyes thinking of natural childbirth with that one.
I wonder why, whenever there is a group of people living together in a closed environment, a few tend to try and take control, make decisions and most times will alienate some members. Estelle has had to put up with the bitching from early days – maybe because she was in a relationship? Now its Angie and Sam who are feeling Ben’s acid tongue. Wish Michael could regroup and go back to how he was on entry- such fun. I am almost sad I have caught up as now there is only one episode per day!
Sally, I enjoyed Stacy up until a few episodes back, when I realised she was almost as bad as Ben with the chatter about her ‘friends’ in the house. Do like her hair style though and her style of clothing. One thing I really do not like about the gentlemen in the house…..why on earth do they have to walk around the house in their underwear each and every day? Has that become normal behaviour and nobody told me?

I really enjoyed the live episode of Emmerdale, except finding out that Carl was the victim. It has always been my favourite soap [ never watch EE ] and I am so glad Stuart Blackburn is leaving as producer. He has introduced so many bad story lines in the last few years. Poor Corrie!

Did anyone watch Emmerdale last night? Considering it was a LIVE episode the cast and crew did a fantastic job. Poor Carl came off worse than the brick he was battered with. Hello Sally and all. Lesley Joseph played the fab Dorian. Her rendition of “Like a virgin” was one of the funniest things ever on tv. Talking of the old days went to see Ray Davies of the Kinks at the Sage in Gateshead a couple of weeks ago. Amazing show. How he does it I do not know. Think he is 68 now and still rocking. A lot of young people in the audience who are devotees. I’m 64 and saw the Kinks in the “olden days” in Newcastle and Sunderland. The Beatles were my huge addiction but we went to as many concerts as we could afford in those days. The list is endless as there were so many new acts around . What a great time! Good to read your postings everyone and cant wait for BB and the jungle.Ta ta for now.

If I knew about this earlier I would of applied. I am very genuine. The kind of stuff you’d hear rock stars from their life experienced. I’ve been a victim of crime, seen my aunty stabbed in the chest and the man who did it only got 14 months for manslaughter which is bullshit, lost my father age 6 from drugs, my sister passed 2006 from leukaemia, I had surgery for servere epilepsy same year but after that I stood strong and went back to study TEE and achieved high marks in science n maths. I’m good on guitar, make songs and write stories in spare time and now work in the mines on $130k + all from being determined to succeed. I cut sikk on dirtbikes too. I want people to realise their potentials in life and not to take it for granted. They should put someone like me in there not these spoilt kids with a boring life story rather than one like mine with organised crime, crazy shit, many near deaths then woke up and realized and now works for big $$ FIFO fulltime. Still single too btw.
