Total Big Brother was born in 2007 under the very imaginative name ‘BBUK’. The site was built and hosted on a free website solution service. Modern alternatives include the popular Moonfruit.

We soon realised that this severely restricted us and so we became ‘bigbrother-uk.co.uk’. This was not to last, because we knew that having the hyphen really was an issue with users accessing and remembering our address. So TotalBigBrother.com was born in 2008.

In the early days, the website was rather flat and non interactive. We really were beginners who uploaded an editorial piece up here and there. As we started to get into it, we then discovered WordPress – which enabled us to posts news via an online portal. This portal also included features such as a comment engine, spam protection and image uploading. We still use WordPress to this day for all our news articles.

We are passionate about Big Brother, and plan to try and be the best website for all your Big Brother news, gossip and features that you would expect from an official Big Brother fan site.

Alec would like to personally thank all members of the team – both past and present who have all played their part in enabling Total Big Brother to become one of the best Big Brother fan-sites around. A special thank you goes out to Ben and Joseph and also to past team members Nick and Steve who really have been fantastic in the recent years.
